How to Read NVIDIA GPU Specs: CUDA Cores, Memory Bus, TDP, and Die Names
A spec sheet answers fewer questions than it looks like it does. CUDA core counts do not compare across generations, a narrow…

Founder and editor
Engineer, PC hardware enthusiast, and founder/editor of PC Tech Vault.
I started with a Commodore 64 and Amiga, then spent a good part of my teenage years taking PCs apart, repairing them, upgrading them and occasionally finding out why they no longer booted. I eventually ran a small PC repair shop and later published BIOS-editing and flashing utilities of my own.
Computers remained the obsession; engineering became the profession. My background is in electrical engineering, with a PhD and professional work spanning embedded systems, firmware, electronics, C/C++, hardware bring-up, and test and measurement.
PC Tech Vault is where those two sides meet. I built it for the kind of PC hardware coverage I like to read myself: specifications that can actually be checked, useful comparison tools, price data with context, technical reporting that goes beyond a press release, and the occasional trip back to the hardware and games many of us grew up with.

I also write about embedded systems, C/C++, Linux, electronics and practical engineering work on Embedonix.

GPUs, CPUs, platforms, drivers and the technical details behind the hardware rather than just the product launch.
The structured side of PC Tech Vault: hardware databases, comparison tools, benchmark data and price history.
Drivers, BIOS and firmware topics, Linux and Windows hardware behavior, utilities, and practical problems that rarely fit neatly into a specification table.
Older GPUs, forgotten hardware, technology demos, gaming history and the machines that made PC enthusiasts care about this stuff in the first place.
