PC Tech Vault is an independent PC hardware site run from Germany: hardware news, a GPU and CPU spec database, GPU comparisons and Market Watch, a price tracker for graphics cards, processors and memory in six countries.
Why the site exists
Buying or fixing a PC means answering the same questions again and again: which card is which, what changed between two generations, and what a part really costs today in your country. The answers are spread across spec sheets, shop pages, forum threads and press releases that disagree with each other. PC Tech Vault puts them in one place, with the sources and dates kept next to the facts, so a reader can see where a number came from and how old it is.

- GPU Wiki and CPU Wiki. More than 2,300 GPU entries from the 3dfx era to current cards, and about 200 desktop CPUs, each with its sources and a way to report mistakes.
- GPU Compare. Up to four cards side by side: specs, memory, power and benchmarks.
- Market Watch. New retail prices for 88 GPUs, CPUs and memory kits from about 40 shops in the United States, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, France and the United Kingdom, with 90-day history.
How Market Watch prices are collected
Prices are read from the shops’ own public product pages. Each price keeps its shop, country, condition, date and the page it came from. Only new, in-stock items at the price payable now are recorded; used offers, marketplace imports with weeks of delivery and pre-order prices are left out. Prices are checked against the shops’ pages every few days, and any listing we cannot read with confidence is checked against the shop page again before it is saved. Prices are shown in the local currency of each country without conversion, so a German price is never compared with a US price as if they were the same thing.
Who runs it
Saeid Yazdani founded PC Tech Vault and edits everything published on it. His interest in PC hardware began with the Commodore 64 and Amiga; as a teenager he ran a PC repair shop, and from about 2007 to 2009 he published BIOS-editing and flash tools. He holds a PhD and has a background in electrical engineering. Sean Baker is co-author and writes about GPUs and the gap between datasheets and real PCs. All writers are listed on the Authors page.
How we work
Claims are checked against manufacturer documentation, technical databases, public filings, shop data and named reporting, and each article links its sources. Every article is published under the editor’s control and responsibility. The full rules are in the Our Standards.
Independence and funding
No company pays for coverage, rankings or a place in Market Watch, and no maker or shop sees an article before it is published. The site may show advertising from Google AdSense; advertisers have no influence on what we write. Affiliate links are not used unless a page says so.
Corrections and contact
Specs, compatibility and prices change, and some models have exceptions. If something is wrong or missing, use the Corrections page; substantive corrections are checked against the sources before they go live.
